Rebel Wilson may be set to return Down Under to film a new movie after welcoming her first child with girlfriend Ramona Agruma.

The Sydney-born actress, 42, plans to turn a coming-of-age play called The Deb into a movie.

The play was first performed by the Australian Theatre for Young People, the same company that fostered Wilson’s career as a budding actress in Australia.

Wilson’s production company Camp Sugar Productions has been scouting locations to film the new project, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Pitch Perfect star will direct and produce the tale which tells the story of teenage outcast Taylah and her city cousin Maeve at a Debutante ball.

Producers are now hunting for a suitable country town as a location for the movie.

It comes after the new mother donated $1 million to the company for the construction of a new theatre.

The production will bring the comedian back to her native Sydney for the first time since she left for the US.

It comes after Rebel’s girlfriend Ramona opened up about their ‘life-changing’ experience of becoming parents, after the Aussie actress welcomed a daughter via surrogate several weeks ago.

The American entrepreneur, 38, said she and Rebel have had an ‘amazing’ time adjusting to motherhood.
