Alleged entertainment industry insider spills the tea on what goes on behind the scenes
In the fast-paced world of the entertainment industry, where glamour and fame often overshadow reality, a recent post by an alleged insider has sent shockwaves through the online community.
On March 16th, a netizen claiming to be a staff member within the industry took to a popular online community to spill the tea on what goes on behind the scenes. The original post is as follows.
“I was a film major. I go out to the filming sets a lot, mostly music videos and commercials. I have many colleagues who work in entertainment companies or advertising agencies so I see celebrities often as well as hear about them often.
The other post wrote the entertainment industry as something shocking that normal people cannot imagine but after 5 years of working in the industry, it’s the same as the other industries.
Everyone is on their edge when you go into filming lol At least for movies it’s a lot better as they have to abide by set working hours but dramas or music videos are still really crunched with time like 2 to 3 days of dissolving is the industry standard. And because everyone is sleep-deprived, oftentimes the set feels like walking on thin ice. Especially the directors are really demanding.
For instance, previously on the set of a drama, a staff member fell super hard while moving the lights and equipment (he was limping all day that day). But everyone on the set was worried about breaking the light or equipment. Thankfully nothing broke but no one asked if he was okay. I was shocked by these desensitized approaches not necessarily by the duality of celebrities.
Because when you feel something is off on the set, that celebrity will be canceled in the long run eventually. There was an actor who was rude, did not apologize for being late, and was taking a smoke break every take, so I was disappointed in him. A few months later, he was embroiled in an attitude controversy lol. The general public isn’t that dumb so there aren’t many dual-faced celebrities unless they are like a god of acting or queen of dramas. To be honest, fans already know something is off deep inside, but they just step up to defend them because they love their celebrities. Celebrities with good public image do act politely, at least to people in the industry.
I heard a lot of dating rumors but it’s just like your college days. Those who constantly date will keep serial dating while those who don’t would never… just depends on their personalities. Also, there are not so many differences in their dating lives. They date just like their peers who are non-celebrities. And not all celebrities love to go out and be wasted. There was someone who came to the celebratory happy hour once until the crank-in.
And it is true that there was a lot of ‘sleeping your way up’ in the past in the filming industry. And I can’t say there is none now. But these definitely are much less prevalent nowadays. Honestly, these ‘sales’ are frequent when you lobby for a luxury brand ambassador, but it’s not like literal quid pro quo sexual harassment. It’s just them sharing drinks with the representatives but if you still think it’s weird to have young people sit there while they drink, I have nothing to say lol
Of course, there are a few publicly unknown dopamine-inducing events. I saw male and female idols who were in a relationship loudly arguing on the staircase of a music show and frequently heard same-sex dating scandals. But these aren’t necessarily interesting it’s because they are celebrities, you would hear about these types of events in your life too if they happened around you lol These are eventful incidents here too.
Long story short, it’s always true that it depends on people and circumstances. The other post seemed like making a hyperbole after briefly hearing something about the industry.”
